چکیده

Methyl red, a synthetic azo dye, was reported for not only being mutagenic but also its persistence has severe consequences on human health, such as cancer, alongside detrimental environmental effects. In the present study, Pseudomonas putida OsEnB_HZB_G20 strain isolated from soil sample to study catalytic activity degradation of methyl red dye. Another strain, aeruginosa PA 1_NCHU used an electroactive anodophile and mixed with see effect co-culturing power generation in single-chambered microbial fuel cells (MFCs). The strains were co-culture inoculum 1:1 ratio MFCs. This work uses bacterial treat wastewater varying dye concentrations anolyte pH investigate output produced up 7.3 W/m3 density 250 mgL?1 concentration, along 95% decolorization, indicating that symbiotic relationship between these bacteria resulted improved MFC performance simultaneous degradation. Furthermore, demonstrated MFCs at optimized 7.

Photocatalytic degradation of methyl red dye

Introduction Most dyes used in the pigmentation of textiles, paper, leather, ceramics, cosmetics, inks and food-processing products are derived from azo dyes, which are characterised by the presence of one or more azo groups (-N=N-) in their structure. Approximately 15% of the dyes produced worldwide are lost within waste water during synthesis and processing. This waste represents a great haza...

Synthesis, characterization and degradation activity of Methyl orange Azo dye using synthesized CuO/α-Fe2O3 nanocomposite

This study investigated the photo-degradation of methyl orange (MO) as a type of azo dye using a CuO/α-Fe2O3 nanocomposite. A CuO/α-Fe2O3 powder with a crystalline size in the range of 27-49 nm was successfully prepared using simple co-precipitation along with a sonication method. The characterization of the synthesized sample was done via XRD, FE-SEM, EDS, FTIR and DRS analyses. The Tauc equat...
